Based on the book, The Devil's Knot, written by Mara Leveritt, a documentary will be shown at Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival. The documentary is written by Amy Berg and produced by Peter Jackson (Lord of Rings Trilogy) & Fran Walsh. The "West Memphis 3" were accused, tried, and convicted of killing and molesting 3 young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas in 1994. "The Devil's Knot" has a lot of symbolism. The first things that come to mind is: 1) the little boys were found tied up with rope; 2) how the facts and story became twisted so that three young men became blameworthy, while the true killer(s) escaped justice.

The West Memphis 3 (Damiel Echols, Jason Baldwin, Jessie Misskelley) were released from prison, but not completely exonerated for the murder of 3 young boys (Steven Branch, Christopher Byers, James Moore). 

DNA found at the crime scene that did not belong to the West Memphis 3 had been indentified with Terry Hobbs and another unknown person. The mother of one of the 8-year old boys ("Stevie" Branch), Pam Hobbs has since divorced Terry Hobbs

In an interview Interview with mother of victim, "Stevie" Branch, Steven Branch's mother, Pam has serious doubts that the West Memphis 3 are guilty and suspects that her ex-husband, Terry and his sister, Cindy were involved.
